Most of these techniques can be incorporated into a workshop designed to accommodate different skill levels of the students attending. For more information on these options, check the events/workshops section, or contact myself via the contact page.

About The Artist

Marianne was born in Edmonton Alberta, and developed her interest in art while still in elementary school. She started with a general exposure to various types of art media, but quickly focused her interests on painting, first in oils, then watercolours, and now adding mixed media and acrylics. Over the years, many artists have inspired and influenced her, and she still enjoys a variety of styles and subject matter which is indicative of her artwork.

Her works have sold across the country and abroad, being displayed in many art shows, with various art clubs and associations, as well as in private shows. Marianne’s works are available in several galleries as well. Commissioned works are done as requested and as time permits.

Along with high realism done much of the time, she has a curiosity for creative and ongoing experimentation. Being a prolific photographer, much of her work has been inspired from her own photos of places, things, and people she has seen. She is comfortable with a wide range of subject matter, but often prefers combining the abstract with some realism superimposed.

Her work is the interpretation of her personal impression of scenes and subjects that inspire her, and she trusts this will resonate with each viewer so that they in turn can catch a glimpse of how this passion translates from the heart to the art.
